Biography
Robert Murphy was born in 1799 in Sevier, Tennessee, his father, William, was 30 and his mother, Mildred, was 30. He married Rebecca Jane Shields on December 7, 1829, in McMinn, Tennessee. They had seven children in 17 years. He died in May 1860 in Crittenden, Kentucky, at the age of 61, and was buried in Crittenden, Kentucky.[1]
