Bret Russell Miner (1896-1968)

Bret was the son of George Miner and Adelia Sabra (Curry) Miner (1858-1923)

Bret was born on 7 Apr 1896 in Gaspereau, Kings County, Nova Scotia, Canada.^[1]

The 1901 Canadian census lists Bret as a 5 yr old, Nova Scotia born, English-Cdn, Baptist adherent, living in Lockhartville, Kings County, NS. ^[2]

The 1911 Cdn census lists him as a 15 yr old, NS born, English-Cdn, Baptist adherent, living in Horton Township. (Lockhartville), NS. ^[3]

The 1921 Cdn census lists him as a 25 yr old, NS born, single, English-Cdn, Baptist adherent, farmer's son. The enumerator in error stated as living in Walbrook?, Kings County, NS, however it should read Grand Pre district, sub district Avonport which included the community of Lockhartville, Kings County, NS. ^[4]

He was married on 2 Feb 1927 by United Church of Canada rites, in the residence of his parents-in-law in Hants Border, Kings County, NS. ^[5]

The 1931 Cdn census lists him as a married, 35 yr old, NS born, English-Cdn, Baptist adherent, owner fruit farmer, living in Lockhartville, NS.^[6]

Bret died in 21 Aug 1968 in the Payzant Memorial Hospital, Windsor, Hants County, Nova Scotia and he was buried in Maplewood Cemetery, Windsor.^[7][8]
