Biography
Agnes Melville was born in Scotland.
Agnes was the daughter and sole heir of Thomas Melville[1][2][3] born before 1450 at of Melville, Scotland.
She married [Ross-601|Robert Ross]],[1] son of Sir John Ross, 1st Lord Ross of Halkhead and Marjory Mure, before 1471. Agnes Melville died before 6 October 1478. They had issue:
John Ross, 2nd Lord Ross of Halkhead+3 b. b 1478, d. 9 Sep 1513
"Eighteenth Century Collections" claims that Agnes married Robert's grandfather, John Ross, although most other sources disagree.
