Dot (Mead) Casley was born in Victoria, Australia
Emily was born in 1874 in Kangaroo Flat, Victoria, although her birth was registered in 1879.[1]
The cited 1879 birth record appears to be wrong as this is for a Emily Jane Mead born in Collingwood, Victoria to Thomas Edwin Mead and Agnes Jane Brownlie.
Her mother was Emily Mead (nee Stone) b 1842 Wiltshire d 1941 in Kalgoorlie. Her middle name most likley after her mother's older sister.
In 1895 she married Wiliam Casley.[2] Online marriage records only have her first name.
MARRIAGE NOTICE Casley—Mead.—On the 11th February, at St. Mary's Church, by the Rev. E. H. Scott, William, second son of the late Mr. John Casley of Booth-street, Golden-square, to Emily (Dot) second daughter of the late Mr. James Mead, of Kangaroo Flat, Bendigo.
She passed away in 1957 in Coolgardie, Western Australia.[3]
