Duncan McArthur is Notable.
- Moved to Pennsylvania in 1780 with his father.
- Moved to Kentucky in 1793, then to Ross County, Ohio 3 years later where he was among the first inhabitants.
- Became a leader in the Ohio legislature, and later US Congressman and Governor of Ohio.
- Indian fighter. Officer in the War of 1812.
- Indian Treaty Commissioner, 1816-1819
