William Charles Mayoh was born at Little Bolton, Lancashire, England, on the 20th of March 1838, the eldest of twelve children, born to Thomas Mayoh and Ann Windross.[1][2][3][4]

William travelled to Australia aboard the Brothers with his parents in 1841.

Brothers.

William Mayo married Elizabeth Huckel, who was also the eldest of eleven children, born to William Huckel and Eliza Wilson, on the 29th of April 1863 at Lambing Flats, now known as Young, in the Colony of New South Wales,[5] and the site of the Lambing Flat Riots, three years earlier. In 1863, at the time of his marriage William was a labourer living at Moppity (near Young) NSW. Best man at William & Elizabeth's wedding was a Thomas Mayoh (possibly Thomas Mayoh born November, 1814) , bride's maid was Elizabeth Mayoh, (possibly Elizabeth Mayoh, born 1845). It is possible William may have been baptised a Unitarian or Methodist at birth and baptised Roman Catholic after arriving in Australia.

William and Elizabeth had fourteen children. Three passed away as infants and two never married.

Your first DNA confirmation statement does support marking both parents 'confirmed with DNA'. The 3rd statement supports William's relationship to his father, but not his mother, so "paternal and maternal" should be changed to "paternal'. The 2nd and 4th statements confirm up to William and his wife, but do not support William's relationship to his own parents, so they should be removed from his biography. Thanks!
