Nancy Mayo lived in Virginia.

Nancy Mayo, daughter of Valentine Mayo and Ann Patterson, [1] was probably born between c.1758 and c.1768 in Middlesex or Buckingham, Virginia, or possibly from c.1769 up to but probably no later than c.1780 in one of the Carolinas.[1] Find a Grave says she was born in 1777 and died in 1857. But Ann Patterson Mayo, her mother, died in 1776.

    1. Valentine Mayo, born 2 Feb. 1734/5,31 Middlesex Co., Va. He married Ann Patterson. In 1768 Dr. William Cabell practiced in Buckingham County in the family of Valentine Mayo, which then consisted of eight persons.32 They moved to one of the Carolinas and had children:

    8. Ruth Mayo. She married ---- Barnett.
    9. Sarah Mayo.
Mrs. Harter has no dates for the parents' marriage nor most of the children's dates of birth. Given the parents' ages (he was born in 1734 and she in 1739), they probably married no earlier than c.1757. This fits well with Mrs Harter's statement that they had six children by 1768.
