Biography

Celestine was born in 1825. He is the son of Simon Matte and Celeste Chiasson. ^[1]

He married Josephine Bellard on 22 August 1846 in Opelousas, Louisiana. A church ceremony was performed the following year in Grand Coteau. ^[2]

He married Orphelise Boutin on 13 June 1885 in Church Point, Louisiana. ^[3]
