The witness of her will was Anthony Theunis Dey of NY and NJ.

In 1833 Anthony Theunis Dey purchased the "DEY" Vault at Marble Cemetery.

Will dated 11-5-1798; 2 deceased sons Henry and John; son James; Cornelius Heyer, husband of grandaughter Jane;

1790 census: NYC, East Ward.

I believe she died at her home which was 181 Pearl street, at Whitehall, New York City, NY

Thanks, Lilly. Could you please add your information about her to the text of this profile, with the sources?

I just merged the two different versions of her profile, which had slightly different (unsourced) death dates. The date of the will that you mention would bracket the date of her death. Also, both profiles showed her birth date as 5 January 1723, but the only documented date I have seen is her baptism on 9 January. Do you have any insight on the evidence for 5 January?

Hello Ellen,

I posted here a book which lists her and husband, her baptismal record which states 9, and her will which would get her death date to a ball park range. Concerning WHY people want to say her birth date is 5, I guess they 'assumed' she was born days before her baptism, or there was some old family record? I am sorry I didn't answer this definitively. The book is searchable online, and link below, but they did not give a source either. Best regards, Lilly Martin

Hi, Lilly. PLEASE add your content to the body of the profile.

I think you may have misunderstood my purpose in asking these questions. It was not because of any personal interest, but because of my role as a Project Leader for the New Netherland Settlers Project. The project is interested in supporting members in doing good genealogy. Also, because the project protects many, many profiles (to help stabilize LNABs, avoid mistaken merges, and avoid mistaken relationship connections in this population where names can be so problematic), a Leader often needs to be involved with merges and edits to relationship connections. The project leadership does not, however, have an interest (much less capacity) to research and document every one of the thousands of profiles that it protect or for which it is a profile manager. This is the role of individual members, whether or not they are officially project members.

I receive email notification of every profile comment on profiles with the project as a manager. I read your comment and responded -- to thank you for your research, to let you know about the merge, and to encourage you to improve the profile.
