I have tried 3 times to add the son Jacobus (James) as I added under Research Notes. Each time the system refuses to add with the reason Privacy must be open ....

Hello Beryl, I just checked and it is OPEN. What can I do to help?

Best regards, Lilly Martin

I will right now add the son from the research notes. I wonder if an existing profile will pop up?

Hello Beryl,

I can add James/Jacobus. The privacy level is OPEN, but a message comes back that nothing can be added to this profile due to the PROJECT PROTECTION. The project will have to add him. The project is supposed to see all the comments you and I are making, so let's see if any action will take place? Best regards, Lilly Martin

This is odd.

The error message that Beryl received is itself erroneous.

As profile manager, Lilly should be able to connect a child to this profile. She is not, however, a profile manager for his wife Helena, so she might have been preventing from linking a profile to the pair of parents.

Where is the profile for Jacobus that you are trying to connect? I cannot find it.

I just added it as a new person but can't attach him to parents. Somehow protected.

You couldn't connect the profile because the parents are project-protected. I am connecting it now.

Project protection is different from privacy, so the error message you saw gave inaccurate information.  :-(

Thank you Ellen Smith. I appreciate your time and effort.

Kip-418 and Kip-38 appear to represent the same person because: seems likely same couple. Please review
