Biography

Frances was the daughter of the Physician Henry Locock of Northampton and his wife Susanna^[1] and she was born in Northampton around 1794.^[2]

She married Daniel Cave of Cleve Hill house in Gloucestershire, a banker, on 15 April 1820 in Livorno (Leghorn) Tuscany^[1] and they were remarried on their return to England at Mangotsfield St James in Bristol on 14 November 1820; witnesses were Stephen Cave and Harriet Cave.^[3]

The Cave family lived at Cleve Hill House in the parish of Mangotsfield in Bristol, a property purchased by her father-in-law in 1804. Their children included:^[4][2]
