Biography

Joseph was a Friend (Quaker)

Joseph Large was born 4 Sep 1673 in Amesbury, Essex Coounty, Massachusetts the son of Joseph and Elizabeth Large.[1][2] While he is frequently seen as 'junior' this designation appears nowhere in documents of the period. The year he moved to Pennsylvania is not documented. Joseph had acquired land near the forks of the Neshaminy Creek, probably in the southern corner of in Buckingham Township, and in 1702 the land commission in Philadelphia granted his request that it be surveyed again.[citation needed] On 14 Feb 1733 he received a 100 acre land warrant at Plumstead, Bucks County.[3]

Joseph passed away 23 Mar 1746 and is believed interred at Buckingham Friends Cemetery.[4] His will dated 21 Oct 1745 and proved 9 Jun 1746 at Bucks County, Pennsylvania[5] names wife Deborah; son Joseph, son-in-law Robert Russell; son Ebenezer; daughters Ruth Brown, Hannah Russell and Elizabeth Watkins. Witnesses: Thomas and Sarah Hill, Thomas Ely.

Large-250 and Large-27 appear to represent the same person because: Clear duplicate

I would suggest that Joseph Large Jr. [Large-250] and Joseph Large II [Large-27] are likely the same person.

Similarly Jonathon Large [Large-36 and Large-558] appear to be duplicates.

Large-250 and Large-27 are not ready to be merged because: Needs further research and matching information more than just the name.
