Biography

Marie Louise Langley, daughter of John Langley and Marie Anne Olivier, was born in St. Landry Parish, Louisiana in 1810.^[1]

She married Leon Leandre Bertrand, son of Jean Joseph Bertrand and Marie Gallien, on 22 March 1831 at St. Landry Parish, Louisiana.^[1]

On the federal censuses of 1850^[2] and 1860, they were counted in Calcasieu Parish, Louisiana.^[3] By 1870 she was a widow, living with three children (and a possible son-in-law), in Calcasieu Parish.^[4]
