Biography

Jonathon was born before 1727. He was the son of Jonathon Kinyon and Sarah Rogers.

There is very little of record of this Jonathan . He was deeded land by his father in Charlestown in 1751 , and witnessed a deed in same place in 1766 . In both cases he was identified by his signature of Jonathan Kenyon , Jr . In the military census of 1777 , he was listed in Charlestown as " 50 - 60 , unable . " He does not appear in any census of Rhode Island . In Charlestown in 1777 , he had an earmark granted for sheep . From the records of his son , Jonathan Kenyon , Jr . , it appears that he actually lived in Richmond as well as Charlestown . Since he had no home of his own at the times of the census records , it is likely be rented land and moved from time to time.^[1]
