Ellen (King) McKinty was born in Ireland.
Ellen (King) McKinty migrated from Ireland to Australia.
Ellen King was born in County Clare, Ireland in 1838, and emigrated with parents to Australia 1843, when she was 5 years old.
Thomas McKinty married Ellen King in Victoria in 1865 [1]
Ellen passed away in Wangaratta on 24 June 1914, she was 76 years old [2]
An extensive obituary was published in The Wangaratta Chronicle dated 27 June 1914, which gives details of her early life, her settlement in Wangaratta, and her many family members, prior to her death she had been staying with her daughter Mrs P Hennessy. She left three daughters and four sons, and 25 grandchildren. Also mentioned were her brother William King, of Newcastle New South Wales, and her sister Mrs J Strickland of Trundle New South Wales [3]
