Biography
Sarah was born in 1800 in Fleming County, KY, USA. Sarah Hughes is the daughter of Thomas Hughes and Frances Groves. Sarah married Samuel Dean in 1824 in Fleming County, KY [1][2]. She passed away in 1880 in Owen County, IN, USA[3]. Buried in Lyons Cemetry, Quincy, Owen County, Indiana, USA
Sarah Hughes Dean lost her husband Samuel, her son Isaac, her brother in law Robert Dean, her baby daughter Amanda Dean all in 1858. Her daughter Rebecca Margaret Dean married James Allison Lyon. After Rebecca's death, James Allison Lyon married Margaret Hughes a niece of Sarah Hughes Dean. At the time of Sarah's death her remaining son Wm. H. Dean acquired her family Bible. Sarah's headstone is available on Findagrave.com
