Elizabeth Jane was born in 1828. Elizabeth Jane was the child of Samuel Dean and Sarah Hughes. Elizabeth Jane passed away in 1912. ^[1]

Obituary: Elizabeth Jane Dean Jones, page 1 Kokomo Daily Tribune June 18, 1912 Mrs. E. J. Jones died Sunday morning of ailments incident to Old Age--Woman of lovable disposition Mrs. E. J. Jones, aged 84 years died Sunday morning at the home of her son, Mort Jones, 712 S, Union Street. Death was due to ailments incident to old age. Mrs. Jones kept a detailed diary of her life as well as a long history of the lives of her parents. She was born in Fleming county near Flemingsburg, KY April 18, 1828, and lived in that vicinity until she was nine years of age. At that time she moved with her parents to Owen County, Indiana. Here she was united in marriage to Dr. M. M. Jones, November 20, 1845. Mrs. Jones and her husband moved to Tipton county soon afterward, living there twenty-six years. They then moved to this city and lived contentedly here until the death of Mr. Jones, January 27, 1891. Mrs. Jones is survived by three sons and one daughter. They are J.W. Jones of Topeka, Kansas; Lafe and Mort Jones of this city, and Mrs. Mary E. Hoss of Indianapolis. Two sisters and one brother survive. The sisters are Mrs. J.J. Mitchell of Swiss City, this state, and Mrs. Nancy Appleby of Quincy, Indiana. A brother William Dean, also lives in Quincy. The funeral will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the house. Rev. J.A. Sprague will officiate, and internment will take place at Crown Point. Note: Elizabeth Dean Jones diary and story of her parents lives has never been found.
