Samuel Hood was baptized Jan 6, 1690. He entered Lincoln College of Oxford Mar 5, 1710-11 at age 19. He recieved a B. A. in 1714 and a M. A. in 1717. He was Vicar of Butleigh in 1723, Cannon of Wells in 1736 and Vicar of Thorncombe Baptised South Perrott, Dorset

Samuel was born in 1691. He was the son of Alexander Hood. He passed away in 1777.
