Biography

Wilmer Holt is the descendant of a Huguenot emigrant.

Wilmer was born in 1908 in Missouri. He was the son of William Edward Holt and Malinda Elizabeth Maupin.

The 1910 Census^[1] shows him at age 3 in the home of his parents in Montgomery City, Montgomery County, Missouri.

The 1920 Census^[2] shows him at age 11 in the home of his parents in Prairie Township, Montgomery County, Missouri.

The 1930 Census^[3] shows him at age 21 in the home of his sister, Ollie and her family in St. Louis, Missouri. He worked as a filling station attendant.

He joined the U.S. Army in 1933. ^[4]

The 1940 Census^[5] shows him at age 31, single, and working as a private in the U.S. Army, posted at Hickam Field, 11th Bombardment Group (M), recorded at: Tract 42, Ewa Judicial District, Representative District 5, Honolulu, Hawaii Territory, United States.

He was injured in Pearl Harbor in 1941.^[4]

His 1945 WWII Enlistment Records^[6] show him as a Staff Sergeant and that he has been divorced and is without dependents.

He married Margaret W. Pasma on 10 Aug 1946 in Colby, Kansas. Margaret was born 22 May 1917 in Idaho Springs, Colorado, daughter of Wiebe Pasma and Margaret Jane Phillips.^[7] They adopted a son and gave birth to a son.

They moved to Lewistown, Montana in 1960.^[4]

He died in 1979 in Montana.^{[8] [9]} He was buried at Lewistown City Cemetery, Lewistown, Fergus County, Montana.^[10]
