Biography

Birth

Maria Hinds was born at Livermore, Maine (then in Massachusetts), on 24 Mar 1807, the daughter of Ebenezer Hinds and Anna (Hathaway) Hinds.^[1]

Marriage

Maria Hinds married Nathan Sawtelle.^[2] They married at Turner, Maine, on 14 Feb 1837.^[3] Their son Zephaniah was born at Turner on 4 Jan 1839.^[4]

Children

Maria (Hinds) Sawtelle was the mother of four children, born between 1839 and 1853, and they are listed in the "Children" section of her husband's profile.

Death

Maria (Hinds) Sawtelle died at Galesburg, Illinois, on 24 Apr 1898.^[5] A FindAGrave memorial with no gravestone photo and citing no sources says she died on 24 Apr 1898 and is buried at the East Burial Grounds in North Turner, Maine.^[6]
