Sir Patrick Hepburn, 5th Laird of Waughton was born circa 1512 at Waughton, East Lothian, Scotland.[1]
He married twice. His first wife was Elizabeth [not Margaret] Logan, daughter of Sir Robert Logan of Restalrig, Knt.[2] His second wife was Isobel, daughter of John Haldane and Elizabeth Lundin, March 1565.[3]
On the 25th June 1536 Sir Patrick Hepburn of Waughton [the father] renounced Houston, with the waulk mill and fishings, and 4 acres lying in the barony of Linton, in favour of David Kinloch, Commendator of Houston. On 18th June 1536 he granted a charter of the half-lands of Lufness with mansion and pertinents to Patrick Hepburn, his son and apparent heir, and Elizabeth Logan, daughter of Sir Robert Logan of Restalrig, his spouse, confirmed by King James V, 2nd August 1538.
