Biography

Patience was born before 1733 -- probably about 1730 (see tree at [1]) in or near Newport, Rhode Island -- a daughter of Thomas and Hannah Harlock. She married Thomas Norris in 1751; the couple removed to Martha's Vineyard, where they raised a family. Patience long survived her husband, dying on the Vineyard, presumably close to the time her will was proved in 1811.
