Sofia Kristina Berglund was born on the 8th of December, 1882 in Roknäs, Norrbotten, Sweden. Her parents were Jonas Gustaf Berglund and Maria Lovisa Granberg.[1][2][3]
in 1885 her family name was changed from Berglund to Granstrom.[4][5]
She immigrated to South Dakota, USA in 1902. Her uncle Fredrik Granberg (1851 - 1913) had immigrated to South Dakota in 1871.[6]
On the 3rd of April, 1906 Sofia Kristina married John Holmstrom Minnehaha, South Dakota.
Together they had at least two children, Floyd Gustav Holmstrom and Norton Holmstrom.
John Holmstrom passed away in November, 1938.
Sofia Kristina married second Algot Strom on the 17th of January, 1940 in Clark County, Washington. Her nephew (brothers son) Stanley Granstrom signed as a witness on the marriage certificate.
Sofia Kristina passed away on the 16th of January, 1963 in Salem, McCook, South Dakota, United States.
