Research Note

My Great-grandfather, Josiah Pryor GRAMMER, came to the Austin, TX area in 1880. He came from Ark., but had been a preacher--maybe circuit rider?--in Marble Hill, Bollinger Co, MO. He was born in 1835, in VA, and died in Austin or Cedar Park, in Sept. 1883. Possibly buried in Pond Springs Cem., possibly was buried in a private plot. I think he preached, while in Texas. He may have been ill, an earlier census listed him as "consumptive". I wonder if there were Baptist churches in the Cedar Park area at that time? I've heard him referred to as "hard-shell" Baptist, I don't know if that's a denomination or just an adjective!
