Biography

In the 1871 census Janet (age 3) was in Toronto, Ontario, Canada with both parents and three older siblings.^[1]In the 1881 census Susie (age 12) was in Barrie, Simcoe, Ontario, Canada one of 7 chldren of Letitia Grahame.^[2]In the 1891 census Susie Ormsby, married, (age 23) was in Mississauga, Peel, Ontario, Canada.^[3]In the 1901 census Janet (age 32) was the wife of John G Ormsby in Oxford-on-Rideau, Leeds and Grenville, Ontario, Canada.^[4]

Susie travelled with her husband in 1930 from Dublin (from Liverpool) to North America (New York, New York, United States).^[5]

Susie is shown in Charlotte Schreiber's painting 'Spring Flowers/Three Grahame Sisters/The Hidden Lover'[1]. Be sure to click on the painting and read the label at the back, as it says that artist Ernest Thomson Seaton was originally in this picture staring adoringly at Susie, but was painted out as the family didn't approve of him for her. But the loving stare remained.
