In the name of God Amen I SUSANNA BALLOW being in a declining condition in my Body but of sound mind and memory thanks be to almighty God, Do make constitute and ordain this to be my last will and testament in manner and form following viz. First I recommend my soul to God that gave it and my Body to the Earth to be decently buried at the descresion of my Executors hereafter named. Imprimus. I give and bequeath to my Son ROBERT BALLOW one Feather Bed and its furniture three Dishes one Bason one dozen Pewter Plates one Iron pott Hooks and Rack and one and half a dozen Pewter Spoons one fryin pann two Cows and Calves his Choice out of my Stock and ten young Sows and one black mare and colt and one copper skillet and one small broad ax and two weeding hows (hoes) and two hilling hows (hoes). Item I give and bequeth to my Daughter ANN BALLOW one Cow and one Calf and my Chest and one large Pewter Dish half a Dozed Pewter Plates. Item I give and bequeth to my grandson LEONAR PATTESON one heffer Item my Desire is that my black mare be sold by my Executor and my Son Robert may be schoold with the same. Item my Will and Pleasure is that after my Debts and Funeral Charges are paid that the rest of my Estate now be equally divided between my Sons CHARLES and THOMAS and JOSEPH and JOHN and ROBERT and LEONARD Ballow. Item I do constitute and appoint LEONARD BALLOW and JOHN THOMAS Executors of this my last Will and Testament in witness whereof I have hereunto set my Hand and afforced my Seal this twenty fifth day of September in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and fifty five. JOSEPH BALLOW, DIONAH (+) BALLOW ROBERT (R) BALLOW, SUSANNA (S) BALLOW LS At a Court held for Albemarle County the twelfth Day of February one thousand seven hundred and fifty six This Last Will and Testament of SUSANNA BALLOW descd was presented in Court and proved by the oath of ROBERT BALLOW one of the Witnesses thereto and ordered to be recorded and on the motion of Leonard Ballow one of the Executors therein named Certificate for obtaining a probate thereof was granted him in due Form of Law giving Security on which he with John Lewis and Abraham Childers his Securities entered into and acknowledged their Bond for the due and faithful performance of the said Will.
