Franklin Hunter Gettz was my greatgrandfather. He lived on a 3 acre piece of land in Broomall, Delaware County, PA on West Chester Pike near the intersection of West Chester Pike and Route 320. The Broomall post office was built on his land. He was a charter member of the Broomall Fire Company and worked for Bonsall the Post Master of Broomall I am told. I am trying to find out what he did for a living and how he acquired the land in Broomall. In the 1950's he moved to 2618 Kirk Ave., Broomall, PA

"When I knew him he worked for Edgar and Harry Bonsall in the Bonsall brothers store. It was a general store and also had the post office inside. He was an expert pinochle player. he would never keep his cards in any special order in his hand but never missed a play."[4][5]
