Herbert Winfield Gettz was born on the 25th of March, 1862 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. His parents were Charles Washington Gettz and Maria Field. He had three older brothers and five younger half siblings. His mother passed away in 1865 and his father remarried Sarah Thompson Simon in 1866.
He married Mary Emma Hansell sometime after 1880.
In the 1910 US Census Herbert is listed with his wife Mary E Gettz and with Sarah F. Springer as a 24 year old boarder.[1]
At some point between 1910 and 1915 Mary E Gettz must of passed away. Then on the 26th of June, 1915 Herbert married secondly Sarah Frances Springer in Delaware, Pennsylvania, United States.[2]
Herbert Winfield Gettz passed away on the 31st of Jan., 1950.
