Julie Emery dit Codere, the daughter of Pierre Emery dit Codere and Therese Bonin, is thought to be their daughter born and baptized on 4 June 1785 as Marie-Judith Coder.[1] Généalogie du Québec et d'Amérique française (aka Genealogy of Canada)
[2] believes they are one and the same, while PRDH gives Marie-Judith's baptism record when searching for Julie[3], but doesn't go so far as to show them as the same person in the list of children born to the parents.[4], which shows Julie born about 1786 with other children born and baptized on specific dates in 1784, 1785, and 1787.
Julie died 27 February 1834 at the age of 48 years and was buried on the 28th at St-Joseph-de-Lanoraie.[6] Her surname was given as Aimeri dite Coder, wife of Joseph Champagne. Her age at death is consistent with her being Marie-Judith, born on 4 June 1785.
