Birth

Fanny was born in 1848 in Hanborough, Oxfordshire.^[1] She was the daughter of Thomas Eaton and Anna Buckingham.

Marriage

John Slatter and Fanny Eaton were married after banns at St Peter and St Paul, Hanborough on 23rd November 1872.^[2] They were bachelor and spinster and both living in Hanborough. John was 22, a labourer and the son of James Slatter (deceased) who was a labourer. Fanny was 23, a gloveress and the daughter of Thomas Eaton who was a labourer. They each signed their own name on the register and the witnesses to the marriage were Charles Woodward and Caroline Woodward.^[3]
