Biography
James Early was born April 2, 1877 in Hopkinton, Delaware County, IA. During his life he lived in Fort Dodge, IA and Fonda, IA where he married his wife Mary Anna Parker Early before retiring in Hinton, Plymouth County, IA. He was the 5th of 11 children of Patrick Early and Mary Ann Dillon Early.
James and Mary Anna were the parents of 8 children; James A Early, Edward "Eddie" Early, and Delbert Early who died from injuries incurred in a motorcycle accident at the age of 16, Ester Mae Early, Laura B Early, Jeanette Evaline Early, Winnifred E Early and Frank Leslie Early.
James and Mary Anna were married for 34 years before his death on July 14, 1931 in Hinton. He is buried at Graceland Park Cemetery in Sioux City, Woodland County, Iowa, along with his wife and their son Delbert.[1]
