Biography
Jeannette Evaline Early was born March 7, 1907 in Hinton, Plymouth County, IA. She was the 6th child of 8 children of James Early and Mary Anna Parker Early.
While living in Hinton, Jeannette met Homer Nicholas Abernathy. Homer and Jeannette were married July 20, 1926 in Newkirk, Kay County, OK. After their marriage they settle in Arkansas City, Cowley County, KS. Homer and Jeanette had three children; Richard Darwin Abernathy, Donna June Abernathy Alford and Darlene Mae Abernathy Hopper.
Homer and Jeanette divorced about 1935.
Jeannette worked for many years in a local Ark City Dairy. On Feb 23, 1946 she married Clarence Lee (Bud) Stuard. They remained married until Jeanette's death on September 30, 1987. Jeannette died in Wichita, KS. She is buried next to Bud Stuard in Memorial Lawn Cemetery in Cowley County, KS. [1]
