16 jun 1615 Quitclaim: Thomas Dyke of Nendfield, co. Sussex, gent, Robert Dyke of Rippon, Yorks, gent, and John and Richard Dyke of London, merchants, to William Dyke of Frant, clerk [2]

10 Apr 1647: marriage settlement on nephew & son-in-law (son of brother Richard Dyke)

25 Aug 1659 William Dyke, clerke of Frant, wrote his will (for an abstract of his will at the NYCRO see [3])

9 Sep 1659: William Dyke, clerk, pastor of the parish was buried Frant

24 Nov 1660 his will was proved at the PCC London on the oath of William Dyke, son of the deceased and executor named in the will

Dykes-984 and Dykes-545 are not ready to be merged because: It is not clear whether Henry and William could be duplicates of the same man. Henry has a different death date, and he is usually said to have died in Virginia (not Sussex, England). This requires more research.

In any case, I have removed Sarah Newman as wife of Henry, because her marriage record clearly says she married William.

Dykes-984 and Dykes-545 appear to represent the same person because: Please merge this duplicate of the father of Dorothy Dykes (disputed mother of Allen Robinett). Merge into details on Dykes-545 including the first name. Many thanks

They do exist, but William Dyke and Sarah Newman were married in 1604 in Frant, Sussex (and had a daughter Dorothy baptized there in 1618):
