Thomas was born about 1563 {probably Horsmonden or possibly Cranbrook}. He is the eldest son of Thomas Dyke Thomas Dyke of Horsmonden and Pembury (d. 1615) by his 1st wife Judeth .

8 Feb 1607/8 he married Joane Walshe, the heiress of Horeham, in All Saints parish church of Waldron, Sussex. The seat and manor of of Horeham [Horam] near Waldron was inherited from his wife's family as she was the heiress to her father. Prior to the marriage a marriage licence was issued for at the Archdeaconry of Lewes on 29 Jan 1607/8 between Thomas Dike, gent. of Frant and Joan WALSHE, spinster, d/o Thomas Walshe, gent. with consent of Margery Walshe, wife of the said Thomas, mother of Joan; sponsors: Thomas Mysson, glo of Heathfield and Goddard Broade of Lewes ^[1]

16 jun 1615 Quitclaim: Thomas Dyke of Nendfield, co. Sussex, gent, Robert Dyke of Rippon, Yorks, gent, and John and Richard Dyke of London, merchants, to William Dyke of Frant, clerk ^[2]

6 Apr 1632: he died Mr Thomas Dyke Gent of Waldron, see Find A Grave: Memorial #205422136; buried on the 7th at Waldron - leaving a will proved at the PCC
