Biography
There seems to be a great amount of confusion about the Duggers and Ruth in particular.
Ruth was born Abt. 1745-1748 in Ashe, NC to William and Martha (Hopkins) Dugger. We also know that from her husband Shadrach Estep's will dated 1801; that Ruth was still living and all children of their union are noted in Shad's will also, therefore any dates stating Ruth's death any earlier that 1801 are inaccurate.
There is no solid documents yet to be found as to when she passed on, many ancestry accounts and websites offer Shadrach's dates of birth & death as her own. To my knowledge; they were married in 1759 in North Carolina.

I see a Robinson on here matching DNA which has me hopeful that those of us acquainted with the oral records from the Patawomac tribal families & their #Metis cousins will get this nipped in the bud.
