Marie was born September 24, 1877 in Shediac, Westmorland county, New Brunswick, Canada. She was the daughter of François Desrosiers and Eléonore Lebel.[1]

She married Joseph Piche on May 11, 1900 in Lynn, Essex, Massachusetts, USA. She was 23 years old, single and her parents were listed as Francois Desrosiers and Marie L. Lebel. He was 36, a widower and his parents were listed as Francois Piche and Ellen Morin.[2]

Mary Louise (as she was later called) died and was buried in 1951 at Saint Jean de Baptiste Cemetery in Lynn, Essex county.[3]

Research Notes

All French and/or Acadian girls were baptised with the 1st name Marie but always were known by their 2nd name just as all boys had the 1st name Joseph.
