Biography

Marguerite Després was born on 8 Sep 1824 and baptized on 8 Dec 1824 in Cocagne, New Brunswick, the daughter of Honoré Despres and Marie Goguen.[1][2]

Marguerite married John McPhadden, widower of Anne Kusick, on 23 Oct 1855 in Bouctouche.[3][4]

In the 1861 census Margarett (age 35) lived in Wellington, New Brunswick.[5]

Marguerite married for a second time to Israël Robichaud, widower of Marie Melanson, on 3 May 1869 in Cocagne.[6][7]

In the 1871 census Marguerite (age 46) was recorded as married in Dundas, Kent, New Brunswick.[8] She was listed with her husband Israel and step children Madie [Omadie], Louis, Philippe, and Docitee.

In the 1881 census Marguerite (age 58) was recorded as married in Dundas, Kent, New Brunswick.[9] She was listed with her husband Israel and the family of his son Louis Robichaud.
