Denis, lovely picture of Zélia! It was easy to connect her to Lazare-> Jean Chrisostome-> Marcellin & Theotiste Doucette (our common ancestor). Enjoy climbing the tree to Pioneer Louis Guimond captured in an Iroquis Raid.

Also, follow Theotiste Doucette-> Ursule Roy->Marie Agnes D'Amours de Chauffeur whose father is linked to the French Noble D'Amours and whose mother has parents Jean-Vincent D'Abbadie Baron de Castin and an Aboriginal princess Pidicwanmiskwe, daughter of Grand Chief Madockawando (still workin on his profile). Ursule Roy is also linked to Acadian pioneer Jean Roy whose wife was also aboriginal.

Bonjour Denis, welcome to Wikitree! Was your great grandmother Zelia Guimond from St-Louis/St-Ignace de Kent? If so, our trees link at Marcellin Guimond & Theotiste Doucet. On my profile, I have them listed with notable Guimonds including pioneer Louis Guimond and Theotiste Doucet who is a descendent of aboriginals and French Nobility Happy to advise re linking your Guimonds when you get to that branch! Meilleurs vœux! Annette

Hi! I see where you have uploaded your DNA for comparison.  Did you know we have a project for DNA where a lot of great new things are happening?  If you are interested and would like to check it out, go to the FIND link top right of your profile page, select PROJECTS from the drop down box, and then select the link for the DNA project.  It has information listed that might be of interest to you, and feel free to contact any of the members if you would like additional details.

Bonjour Denis!

Welcome to WikiTree. I see your grandparents are from Cocagne, which is where I grew up! Do you live in that area?

Anyway, check out the Acadians project at http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Project:Acadians and help us with our Acadian ancestors.

Hello,

Thank you for joining WikiTree. As a WikiTree Mentor I am available to answer any questions or help solve any issues you may be having. How is your experience with Wikitree going? Our G2G Forum is searchable or you can post a question there.

Do you have Royal Ancestors? They are already here on Wikitree! Rather than create duplicate profiles for them, please contact the EuroAristo Project to discuss connecting your family line to their profiles.

The Help Index is also an important place to find how to do most tasks.

Feel free to ask me via my profile page if you have any questions.

It's a pleasure to welcome you to WikiTree. You now have full access to all the features of WikiTree.

Please add quality sourced information to your profiles which is extremely important. Estimate if you aren't sure about birth or death dates. By doing so you searches will be more productive and helping expand your branches. Also, this aids WikiTree Arborists in finding duplicates. *Most importantly check for duplicates before adding new profiles.* Feel free to contact me if you need any assistance. Thanks for your desire to help us improve our mission! Regards, Michelle

Yes, I volunteer to contribute to our shared family tree...your site is the only one I found my grandfather on so I look forward to additional surprises as I help with your mission - thanks! My mother is one of 19, yes 19 so this should help!!!
