Therefore, I am a proven descendant of Edward Foliott through his granddaugther, Elizabeth Moody, md. Richard Burt, Sr. The book on Magna Carta Ancestry by Douglas Richardson has identified 14 Magna Carta ancestors for Edward Foliott They are Roger Bigod, Hugh Bigod, William Malet, Henry de Bohun. William de Mowbray, Robert de Vere, Saher de Quincy, Richard de Clare, Gilbert de Clare, John de Lacy, William de Huntingfield, Robert de Ros, William d'Aubigny, and William de Lanvallay. Geoffrey de Say is through my Marshall Franks line. Out of the original 25 Magna Carta Barons only 17 had descendants past the 4th generation.

Stephen A. White states that Marie de Salazar is believed to be an 11th generation descendant of Louis IX of France. White's reference is the respected genealogist René Jetté, Traite de genealogie. Montreal 1991 p601-615. Jetté shows the links between Marie de Salazar and her descendants to Marie "batarde de la Trémoille". Respected genealogist Denis Beauregard lists the quality of evidence linking Sainte-Etienne de la Tour to this king is: “ considered as safe (the link to the Salazar is documented and those Salazar have known high nobility) “ Beauregard also cites Jetté and lists the ascendants of Marie de Salazar to King Louis IX.
