Biography

Kenneth was born in Milang, South Australia during 1897. He was the son of William Cowan and Mary Hooper. He passed away in South Australia during 1974.

Kenneth was born in Milang, South Australia on 29 June 1897 to William Cowan and Mary Hooper.^[1]

Kenneth served in the Australian Army during the First World War. Kenneth served in the Australian Army during the First World War. He enlisted on 30 March 1917 and was given the rank of Private in the 18th Battalion. His unit departed on HMAT A72 Beltana from Sydney, New South Wales on 16 June 1917. He returned to Australia after seeing service on the Western Front on 16 June 1917.^[2]

Kenneth married Eileen Eva Robinson in Port Pirie, South Australia on 14 September 1926.^[3]

Kenneth was granted a divorce from Eileen on 11 May 1937 by the Supreme Court of South Australia.^[4]

Kenneth served in the Australian Army during the Second World War. He enlisted in Adelaide, South Australia on 18 March 1940, and was discharged with the rank of Private with a posting in the 7th Division Headquarters on 2 February 1943.^[5]

Kenneth died in South Australia on 8 February 1974 at the age of 77 years.^[6][7]

Kenneth's remains were cremated and interred at the Centennial Park Cemetery in Pasadena, South Australia on 11 February 1974.^[6][8][9]
