Biography

Ann Colles, daughter of John and Anne, was baptised at Corfe, Somerset, England on 12 May 1583. [1]

on 14 April 1601 she married Charles Courtenay at Pitminster, Somerset. [2]

In 1608 her husband Charles was named as a "son" in the will of her father. [3]

Charles and Ann had at least five children:

  • John (1602)
  • Humphrey (1606)
  • Elizabeth (d 1607)
  • Ann (d 1608)
  • Jane

Two daughter (unnamed) were mentioned in the 1632 will of Ann's brother George, along with her son Humphrey. [4] [5]

She was buried on the 15th of May 1627 at Molland.[6]
