Marriage

Robert C. Anderson provides that he married Mehitable Dimmock at Watertown on 17 April 1662 [Watertown VR 24], the daughter of Thomas baptized Barntstable 18 April 1642 [NEHGR 9:282]. Also that Bond [Bond 153] gives a marriage date of 30 Mar 1662 which is not given in the published Watertown VRs, and he may have been influenced by the date of birth of the eldest child on 30 March 1663 [Watertown VRs 25][5]

In the "Genealogy of the Child, Childs and Childe Families" listed above, p 494 provides the Watertown branch, starting with immigrant William as father of Richard (and apparently brother of Deacon Ephraim Child). This seems to me a credible source.

The majority of the bio is a cut & paste from http://www.whittaker.org/assets/childsii.pdf and should be rewritten.

I'm looking for quality primary & secondary sources! Do any of the PM's or those on the trusted list have anything to contribute to help build a better profile? There are two profiles for this man, which I'd like to get merged and any help in sourcing his vitals would be very, very helpful.

Thanks!

I have given my approval for the merge, but there are some things that genuinely seem not to match (conflicting death dates and birth locations) that seem to require investigation. I'm not worried about the parents so much, and I would want to see actual evidence that they are incorrect before disassociating them.

Child-379 and Childs-1541 appear to represent the same person because: Clearly same person with same spouse, please merge duplicates. If parents cannot be documented, remove them and add a statement in the bio that links them to the merged profile with any sources available.
