Moses was born in 1767. He was the son of David Chadwick and Sarah Barker. He passed away in 1848.

On 20 December 1781, David Chadwick yeoman of Jaffrey, Joshua Chadwick yeoman of Rindge, and Sarah Spafford wife of Phineas Spafford of Andover, in consideration of £250.3, conveyed to Samuel Barker, Jr. of Andover four-fifths a dwelling house, barn, and shoemaker shop with land (property derived from the estate of father David Chadwick). On 3 November 1788, Moses Chadwick, blacksmith of Boxford, sold his one-fifth interest in the house, barn, and shoemaker shop to Samuel Barker, Jr. for payment of £25. On 20 December 1781, David Chadwick with his wife Hannah, Joshua Chadwick with his wife Mary, and Sarah Spafford wife of Phineas, in consideration of £91.10, conveyed to Asa Barker four-fifths of a tract of land in Andover. On 3 November 1788, Moses Chadwick blacksmith of Boxford, in consideration of £10, sold one-fifth interest in this same property to Asa Barker.^[1]
