Biography
Martha was born in New Jersey in 1782, the first child of Francis Carlton and Priscilla Cravath. She married Daniel Hampton in 1799 and they had four daughters and one son--Priscilla, Mary, Margaret, Eleanor, and Francis.[1]
Martha died in Ohio in 1813. According to the Girard Historical Society, a great typhoid epidemic struck America that year.
