Lotus Henderson Cameron was born on June 14, 1891 in Toronto. She was the daughter of Robert Henderson Cameron (1867-1949) and Charlotte Rachel (Camplin) Cameron (1869-1949).^[1]

Lotus was married three times:

• to Frederick French (1888-1920), civil servant, in Toronto on Sept. 25, 1913.^[2] After Fred's death, Lotus worked as a secretary.
• to Garret Ryall Conover (born in Toronto ca 1900), salesman, in Toronto on Oct. 8, 1924.^[3] This marriage ended in divorce in 1928.^[4][5]
• to David S. Johnston (born ca 1891), between 1928 and 1931.^[6] He survived her.

She passed away on May 20, 1935 in Toronto. (The Medical Certificate of Death was completed by her brother-in-law, Lawrence Hill, M.D.) She was cremated on May 22, 1935 at the Toronto Crematorium.^[7]
