Polly Chapman Bybee was born 28 October 1820 in Kentucky (Some researchers list Bowling Green, others list Barren County, where her siblings were born). She was described as being 5'3" 130 lbs. with black hair, blue eyes and dark complexion. Brigham Young assigned her as, "Mid-wife" and she delivered hundreds of babies, but was more widely known for her knowledge, application, and supply of medicinal herbs.
