Blomfield coat of Arms Walter Rye, in discussing the erroneous account given by Blomefield the historian of his family arms mentions that, the " the Knightly family of de Blomevil bore 3 lozenges in fess" and suggests that the dominant' bend' in our coat of arms was probably derived from the Rye coat of arms, the Manor of NEWTON FLOTMAN in Norfolk, THE SEAT OF THE BLOMVILES, being held of the BARONY OF RYE OR RHYE in the 12 CENTURY The knightly Family of Blomvile lozenge is also derived from the Barony of Rye. East Anglican N.S.vol. iv (Sir Reginald 's book- A Suffolk Family) The arms of the BLOMFIELDS,BLOMVILES,BLONDEVILLES, are 'Quarterly per fesse indented or and azure over all a bend gules' and that our crest is a lozenge with wings, both being derived from the arms of the Barony of Rye. I think what amazes me here is just how many people I am actually related to.....cousins...lol and the who ;>)... for me one search was 'bloodlines' and my intuition appears to be correct..all roads lead to ROME......
well what an amazing journey this has been, finding my fascinating ancestors...totally riveting stuff, following their lives is addictive, these wonderful 'family' characters coming to life..intrigue, conspiracy, crusades, beheading, what a colourful if not short life a lot of them lived..this gives me a sense of identity and why I am who I am...on 'MY HERITAGE TREE' I have over 16,210 ancestors, back to Rome/..also have my FAMILY TREE on GENI, LATTER DAY SAINTS.... .for verification....I find it amazing how many of these families all link up further up the line.....I thank all you genealogists, who work so hard, getting facts/ data/etc., accurate, I know it takes hours and hours of intense research and study.....and is addictive.....and I am ever grateful...
Well a story of how I ended up here, I knew naught of my ancestors, put a query online, many years ago after my family had fled the nest....and an English cousin answered me..hurrah one relative found, first cousin Johnny Blomfield who had already been years putting the Blomfield Pedigree together, so off we went, Michael J Woods collaborated with Johnny on several areas so the Blomfield side is pretty accurate....the other GrandParents bugged me..on my Mother's side Lange-Krezalen, got bogged down....a month or so I decided to follow my Paternal GMother/ line -LAWRENCE and its amazing where that has led me........so in my later years I finally find my ancestors, and what a wonderful interesting, fascinating lot they are........

Hi,

It’s Germany Project check-in time again! Please respond within the next 2 weeks and let me know if you’re still interested in participating with the Project. Remember, the only requirements for membership in the Germany Project are (1) that you work on at least one German profile every 6 months and (2) that you respond to this check-in.

Since you’re not working with one of our Sub-projects or Teams yet, please look at our main Project page for a full list and let me know which team you’d like to join.

Please respond to this message by posting a reply below or sending me a private message on WikiTree. In your response, we welcome any feedback you may want to give on the project (what you like about it, what you’d like to see us do, what we could change, etc.)

If you ever have any questions, please ask. I look forward to hearing from you soon!

WIKITREE...there is a moral principal here, regardless of whom it may be, one should not duplicate a profile/profiles already in existence, and ( specially in your own Family Tree,) under any circumstances whatsoever. It invariably causes much confusion and upset. Paramount on creating a profile of an relation/ancestor, one must adhere to the rules set out, when WIKI matches come up, one must carefully check and scrutinuize them as to not duplicate the profile if it is already done, sloppy choices are irresponsible and unworthy of a true Wiki member. High principals and careful reliable genealogy sources and practices are to the fore front in the work and dedication of a loyal WikiTree member. Honesty, respect and honour are the badges we wear with pride.

Well it would appear that if one desires to be a Manager on someone Wiki profiles, just duplicate the profiles you want to be Manager of, put in some dubious sources, and hey presto there you are. Honesty and integrity are not in the game it appears. The mask of deceit is in favour

Hi, Helena, I look forward to working with you on those profiles. Laura ~WikiTree Mentor

As well as being a Wiki member which I love, I also have a My Heritage site with 16,151 family members, just simply amazing where our Family tree goes and its always good to have backup for facts and relevant data. Also have 3 other sites, plus DNA ......its an ongoing journey of discovery, never give up as that elusive relation will suddenly appear. my German GrandMother /family was a brick wall, then hey presto and breakthru which went to many generations in Switzerland......bingo!

Hi,

The Germany/German Roots Project is currently undergoing our member check-in and wanted to verify that you are still active and interested in being a member of the project. Are you currently assigned to or working with one of our Sub-projects or Teams? We have many new teams so have a look on the Germany project page for the list of them. Is there a particular Team or area you are interested in participating with? I would be delighted to help you get setup in one or more of our collaborative teams!

We use Google groups for internal project collaboration, so if you are not yet setup for access feel free to submit a join request and we will get that approved as quick as possible. We also ask that members check their follwed tags to make sure you are following the correct project tag (GERMANY) so you don't miss any disucssions in G2G.

We really appreciate your contributions on WikiTree, and thank you for all the work you have been doing. We look forward to hearing back from you and that you will decide to be part of the project as we move forward with the new teams for the project.

Please respond by private message. I look forward to hearing from you soon!

Please change the Switzerland Project Box to 'Switzerland Sticker' since the Project does not need to be PM of this profiles. Thank you.
Hi Helena,

We realise the time has come to dissolve the UK Project in favour of the individual country projects of England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland.

We are checking in with all UK badge holders to find out which country project(s) you would like to be in so you can collaborate with other members, have the opportunity to select which team(s) you would like to join, and so we can ensure you have all the correct badges.

Please respond by PM to let us know which country project(s) you would like to be in. Please don’t assume we know. We are effectively starting from scratch to make sure no one falls through the cracks.

Once you have done this, the Coordinator for Membership in the relevant country project(s) will be in touch to help get you situated.

Many thanks,

Susie

Hi!

Welcome, and thanks for joining the Magna Carta Project as an affiliate.

Project profiles are watched over through the project's "Profile Alerts" Google Group - https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/wikitreemagnacarta - which is tied to WikiTree-36, the project account. Project affiliates are encouraged to join the Google Group - from that page, send a request to join with your WikiTree ID (so we know who it is).
