Biography

Reverend Sir Ralph Blois, 4th Bt. (1706-1762) was the son of Sir Charles Blois, 1st Bt & Anne Hawtrey
He was educated at Woodbridge School, Suffolk and also at Bury School, Bury, Suffolk.
He graduated from Caius College, Cambridge University in 1728/29 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.). He graduated from Caius College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, in 1732 with a Master of Arts (M.A.). He was a Fellow between 1732 and 1738 at Caius College, Cambridge.
He married Elizabeth Rabett, daughter of Reginald Rabett, on 24 October 1738 at Bramfield, Suffolk, England.
He was admitted to Gray's Inn on 1 February 1752.
He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Blois, of Grundisburgh and Cockfield Hall, Co. Suffolk [Est., 1686] on 27 December 1761.
He died on 8 May 1762 at age 55 at Hampstead, London, England and was buried on the 17th of May 1762 at the Church of St Peter, Yoxford, Suffolk, England.
