Biography

Louis Blanks is a part of US Black heritage.

Louis was born 15 Aug 1910 in Kerrville, Kerr, Texas. He was the son of Gabe Blanks and Laura Ware.^[1][2] In 1920 and 1930 he was living with his parents and siblings in Kerr County, Texas.^[3][4]

Lewis served as a cook in the US Naval Reserve during World War II from 1943 to 1945.^[5]

In 1950 Louis was living with wife Sallie and a daughter in Kerrville, Texas where he was working as a cook in a cafe.^[6]

He passed away in 1968 in Kerrville, Texas. He was buried in Tivy Mountain Cemetery in Kerrville.^[7]
