Biography
Florine (Blanks) Clay is a part of US Black heritage.
Florine was born in 1919 in Texas. She was the daughter of Gabriel Blanks and Laura Ware. In 1930 she was living with her parents and siblings in Kerrville, Texas.[1]
Florine married Edward Joshua in 1936 in Gillespie County, Texas.[2] In 1940 Florine and Edward were living in San Antonio, Texas.[3] Florine and Edward later separated.
Florine had a brief marriage to William Benjamin before marrying Leonard Howard Clay in 1970 in Kerr County, Texas.[4]
She passed away in 2012 in Kerrville, Texas. She was buried in Garden of Memories North Cemetery in Kerrville. [5]
